Chrissy Vincent

Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Coordinator

“I strongly feel that this research initiative is not only interesting, but also extremely important and long overdue in Canada.  I believe that all of our citizens – including those with disabilities – have a right to be able to fully participate in Canadian society, and that includes the labour market.  In embarking on this work, I hope that we will help bring our great nation one step closer to realizing that goal.”

Activities and Interests

Chrissy joined the SafetyNet Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research (at Memorial University) in October of 2008 as a Research Assistant. She has been highly involved with SafetyNet’s work on both risk trends analysis in the offshore petroleum sector and employment-related geographical mobility, and she has also played an administrative role on various other projects.  She is most interested in how different types of employment-related conditions can have an impact on workers’ psychological well-being.
