SafetyNet Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research

The SafetyNet Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Research is a community alliance for multidisciplinary research, knowledge exchange and education in occupational health and safety (OHS), based at Memorial University.

SafetyNet is dedicated to improving the safety of workplaces and the health of workers in Newfoundland and Atlantic Canada through broadly-based partnerships between academic researchers and stakeholders in communities, government, industry, and labour. Our focus is on multidisciplinary research, knowledge exchange, education and the development of OHS expertise in the province.

“SafetyNet was very pleased to accept an invitation to join this project because we agree that there are serious gaps in what is known about the way Canada’s various disability-related policies operate and because we were eager to work with this project’s excellent leadership team and to develop our capacity in this important domain of public policy research .”
