We are conducting a study examining the role of physicians in the return to work (RTW) process and their interactions with the workers’ compensation board. The study involves interviewing physicians in four jurisdictions – Newfoundland & Labrador, Ontario, Manitoba and British Columbia.

We are hoping to interview different types of physicians – those with high/low volumes of workers’ compensation patients, specialists, emergency/walk in clinic docs, physicians working directly with the board or within companies. The questions are quite open-ended and of course anything said during interviews is confidential. I was wondering if you would be interested in doing an interview or could identify someone who might be appropriate (and willing!)

Each physician interviewed will receive $100 as a thank you for their time. The interview generally takes ½ hour and can be done on the phone or in person.

A short study ad and the longer study information sheet is attached.
