WorkSafeBC is seeking graduate students interested in making a difference to improve workplace health and safety. WorkSafeBC is proud to support the training of new researchers today — who will be able to help answer the critical research questions of tomorrow.

WorkSafeBC is pleased to launch their 2022 Research Training Awards competition.

Application deadline: February 18, 2022

This competition is open to all students, including international students, enrolled in a full-time graduate studies program at a B.C. university.

Research Training Awards

Research Training Awards are designed to foster the development of occupational health and safety research among graduate students at the master’s and doctoral levels. These awards enable students to undertake full-time research training with a focus on occupational illness, injury, and disability.

Awards are $22,500 annually for one or two years, with the option to renew for an additional year upon successful reapplication. Awards will be made on the basis of academic standing, quality of the proposed research, relevance to occupational health safety and our research priorities, and the training environment.
